An attractive smile full of shiny white teeth can help you in many life situations. It is particularly helpful for people in sales or other face-to-face business interactions. If cosmetic deficiencies or dental staining problems disturb your smile’s look, you can contact Dr. J. Whitley Wills to explore your cosmetic dental options.

One of the more current methods of refining your smile’s appearance and conserving its white glow in the long term is to have dental veneers mounted on the front of your teeth. These are thin sheets made from a special dental-grade type of porcelain. They are meticulously crafted in a dental lab and they are custom-made for your teeth. Once they have been set in place, you will not be able to tell a difference between the veneers and your natural teeth.

The distinct porcelain material of the veneers is not as amenable to stains as natural tooth enamel. This will make it easier to thwart stains from setting into your smile in the future.
Dr. J. Whitley Wills will first inspect each tooth in your smile to make sure there is adequate strong enamel to securely mount a veneer. If a tooth has an old filling or lacks the necessary enamel, he might recommend a dental crown instead.

Your dentist will then eliminate a small amount of enamel from each tooth. he will then take a detailed impression of all the teeth in your smile. This will be sent to a dental lab to be used as a guide for crafting your custom porcelain dental veneers. In the meantime, you’ll be fitted with temporary veneers.

When your veneers are ready, you’ll come into our office and Dr. J. Whitley Wills will cement your custom-fit permanent veneers in place.
