Covid 19

Dear patients & community,

In response to the recent global outbreak of CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) coupled with ongoing influenza activity, we want to assure you that we will continue to provide the highest level of care to our patients.

Here at J. Whitley Wills, DDS, we care deeply about the safety of our patients and employees along with the health and safety of our general population. Our standard sterilization and infection control practices already exceed all state and federal guidelines. We are closely monitoring the evolving situation with COVID-19 and are following all CDC, ADA, and TDA guidelines for reducing any potential outbreak risk to our community.

Dr. Wills’ office will be open to see patients with true dental emergencies. If you, a family member, or a friend is in need of dental treatment due to a dental emergency, please call our office at (901) 726-9525 and press 1; leave your name, phone number, and a brief message and someone will return your call.

We will be adding additional protocols to ensure the continued safety of our patients and team. In an effort to reduce the spread of illness and the recent health concerns with CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19), we will be taking the temperature of everyone who enters our dental office including all staff members.

If you are feeling ill, running a fever, feeling short of breath, or suffering from a cough, we ask you to inform our office via telephone so we can reschedule your dental appointment for a later date and time. This is for the health and safety of all of our patients and team. Our office is taking all precautions and extreme measures of disinfecting to keep everyone safe in our office.

For the next few weeks, we will be adding additional protocols to ensure the continued safety of our patients and team. In an effort to reduce the spread, we ask anyone who currently has or has had a fever within the last seven days or currently exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness (coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, etc.) to let us reschedule your appointment out at least 14 days.

If you or someone with whom you have had close contact has traveled to an area with an outbreak and are experiencing any of the symptoms mentionedabove, please reschedule your appointment out a minimum of 21 days. At the start of the appointment, we will ask everyone to wash their hands on the way to the treatment room along with rinsing their mouth with 1% hydrogen peroxide rinse for 60 seconds.

We ask patients to arrive at their appointments alone. For parents of children receiving treatment, have one family member accompanying them. We will be disinfecting contact surfaces such as door handles and countertops throughout the day. Please wait in your vehicle rather than in our reception area, and call when you arrive to let us know you are here.

We understand that these changes may cause some inconveniences and truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation at this time. Please contact our office at (901) 726-9525 if you have any questions or concerns. We will be checking messages and returning calls as swiftly as possible, so please be patient and know we will get back to you. Thank you again for continuing to trust Dr. Wills and his team for your dental care and needs.
